It may be way too early to be having such thoughts.
As I write this, I am the only member of the RWOL Forum.
But maybe it's time to start thinking about NARWOL (The National Association for Rights Without Labels) -- or whatever we decide to call ourselves.
Our first conference ever could be held in October of 2007 in, um, Las Vegas!
We would elect officers.
We would select and empower committees.
We would organize, etc.
We would develop our constitution and future directions.
If it's just you and me, I'll buy dinner.
If it's more than five, we can rent a banquet room.
If it's more than ten, we can change the world.
It might be over a hundred!
If there are very many interested in addressing the present nationwide educational crisis, we will need a lot of help from a lot of individuals to make it (i.e., the first national NARWOL conference) work.
In this thread, let's discuss any of the above topics and anything related to this idea. Should we start thinking about committing to what is needed to make RWOL actually work? Or shall RWOL be just a forum on the internet?
It doesn't have to be Vegas, it could be Denver, Phoenix, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, or San Diego. Okay, okay -- it could be Houston, St. Louis, Minneapolis, or Chicago. Gee, we have a lot of decisions to make!
It doesn't have to be in October either. It could be August, September, or even November!
Let's talk! Let's brainstorm! Let's get this show on the road.
